Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy of Global Multidisciplinary Open Research Journal (GMORJ).
Global Multidisciplinary Open Research Journal accepts only original work. Every manuscript is checked for similarity before peer review, and checks can be repeated at any stage.
What counts as plagiarism
- Copying text, data, figures or ideas from others without citation.
- Republishing your own previously published work without citing it (self-plagiarism or duplicate publication).
- Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
- Paraphrasing others' work closely without acknowledgement.
How we check
Manuscripts are compared with other submissions and articles published in the journal, and, where available, with external databases. The similarity score is reviewed by an editor, who considers where the overlap occurs; properly quoted and cited material, references and standard method descriptions are not counted against authors.
What happens
- Minor overlap: the author is asked to rewrite or cite properly.
- Substantial plagiarism before publication: the manuscript is rejected.
- Plagiarism found after publication: the article may be corrected or retracted (see Corrections & Retractions), and the authors' institution may be informed.
