Cookies and storage
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security cookie that protects forms against forgery. Your light/dark display choice is stored in your own browser. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use your data
- To run the peer review and publication process and keep you informed about your submission.
- To contact reviewers and editorial board members about their assignments.
- To publish accepted articles with the author names and affiliations given in the manuscript.
- To answer your messages and process publication charges where they apply.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for marketing.
Who can see what
- Manuscripts are stored privately and are never available on a public link. Only you, the journal's chief editors and the editor handling your paper can open them.
- Reviewers invited by the editor can read the manuscript only for the purpose of review and must keep it confidential. Reviewer identities are never shown to authors.
- Editorial board members' public details (name, designation, department, institution, institution address and institutional email) are shown on the Editorial Board page, as journal indexing bodies require. Their phone number, personal email and CV are never published.
- Published articles show author names and affiliations publicly and permanently, as part of the scholarly record.
Service providers
We share data only as needed with: our web hosting and email providers; Crossref, which receives article metadata (title, authors, abstract and publication details) when we register a DOI; and, if enabled, an external plagiarism-checking service, which receives the manuscript text for comparison. Each receives only what the task requires.
How long we keep data
Published articles and their editorial records are kept permanently. Records of submissions that were rejected or withdrawn, including files, are kept only as long as needed to handle disputes and detect duplicate submissions (normally no more than five years). Accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Article alert subscriptions end immediately when you unsubscribe, and your address is removed.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw a consent you gave, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law. You can update most details yourself from your profile. Some data cannot be deleted where we must keep it, for example author names on published articles. To make a request, contact us through the Contact page.
Security
Connections are encrypted, manuscripts are stored outside the public web folder, access is checked on every file request, and stored credentials for external services are encrypted.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
