Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement of Global Multidisciplinary Open Research Journal (GMORJ).
Global Multidisciplinary Open Research Journal follows the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We expect authors, reviewers and editors to meet the standards below.
Authors
- Originality: submit only original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Cite all sources and others' work properly.
- Authorship: list everyone who made a significant contribution, and only them. All authors must approve the submitted version.
- Data: report results honestly. Fabricating, falsifying or selectively manipulating data or images is misconduct.
- Conflicts of interest and funding: declare any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work, and all sources of funding.
- Research ethics: studies involving people or animals must have the required ethical approval and informed consent, stated in the manuscript.
- Errors: if you find a significant error in your published work, tell the editors promptly so it can be corrected.
Reviewers
- Treat manuscripts as confidential and do not share or use them.
- Give objective, constructive and timely reviews; decline if you lack the expertise or time.
- Declare conflicts of interest and decline where your impartiality could be questioned.
- Do not upload manuscripts to public AI tools (see Use of AI Tools).
Editors
- Judge manuscripts only on their scholarly merit and fit with the journal's scope, without regard to the authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, institution or politics.
- Keep submissions confidential and do not use unpublished material.
- Do not handle papers where they have a conflict of interest. Papers authored by an editor are assigned to a different editor.
- Take reasonable action when misconduct is suspected, following COPE guidance.
Misconduct
Suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, authorship disputes or citation manipulation are investigated following COPE flowcharts. Outcomes can include rejection, a correction, an expression of concern or a retraction, and informing the authors' institution where appropriate.
Appeals and complaints
Authors may appeal a decision once, with a reasoned explanation, through the Contact page. Appeals are considered by an editor not involved in the original decision. Complaints about the journal's processes are handled the same way.
