Publication Charges & Waivers

• Submission and peer review are free. No fee is ever charged to submit or to be reviewed.
• Reading is always free. There are no subscription or download charges.
• Publication charge: any article publication charge in force is shown on our home page. It is requested only after a manuscript has been accepted, through an invoice on the author's dashboard and by email. Rejected and withdrawn manuscripts are never charged.
• Launch volume: no publication charge applies to articles in our launch volume.

Waivers

Authors who cannot pay, including authors from low-income countries and students without funding, may request a full or partial waiver before or at acceptance through the Contact page. Waiver requests are handled separately from editorial decisions, and editors and reviewers are not told whether a charge was paid or waived.
